Kart Race Career
He started racing karts aged 9 in 2006, in Comer Cadets racing at Trent Valley Kart
Club, Manchester & Buxton Kart Club & Cumbria Racing Kart Club.
In 2007 Martin continued with club racing and also competed in his first National
level event in the Comer Cadet ‘O’ Plate at PFi.
In 2008 Martin progressing to race in the British Championship (Stars of Tomorrow)
and Super One National Championship. Racing around the country and in Europe, racing
at Genk, Shenington, Whilton Mill, PFi, Llandow, 3 Sisters, and Larkhall.
Martin progressed to Rotax Minimax in 2009 & 2010 again competing in Super One National
Championship, adding Buckmore Park to his list of tracks as well as a testing sessions
at Hooton Park and Rye House Kart Circuits.
2011 saw Martin progress to Rotax Junior Max , securing 4th Place in the prestigous
TVKC Club Championship at PFi Circuit and 5th place in the Welsh Championship.
2012 saw Martin again racing in Rotax Junior Max, but also starting his move to Car
Racing, attending the Junior Race Car Academy at Croft Circuit and making the final
of the Ginetta Junior Scholarship. It also saw his first ever car race, taking part
in the Ginetta Junior Winter Series at Rockingham Circuit.
